Aboriginal BEST 2013-2014 Programs

This year, 10 more communities get the opportunity to host a BEST in their region. The host organizations decide which dates, times and training spaces suit their needs... maybe that's evening classes twice a week for 6 weeks, 10 days straight of full day classes, or maybe 6 weekends... whichever works for your learners.

We help bring in local guest speakers, slideshows, and training for your community trainers. Organizations and social enterprises can apply the learning to their own development, too...such as how to increase productivity in their non-profit organization or develop a social media strategy that works for them.

Participants will develop business skills and employment skills to prepare for higher level jobs and self-employment. They'll learn a wealth of tools to explore ways to research, launch or improve their own business with Aboriginal BEST's:

* Interactive classes about business start-up and development;
* Group sessions and one-on-one business coaching;
* Free workbooks, snacks, and (often) access to computers, and;
* Presentations/ Q & A with Aboriginal business owners and community leaders

Each training session is delivered by small business experts who bring in local Aboriginal business owners and guest speakers. Hear their insights and learn what it takes to start a business this year!

The Aboriginal BEST Program will be offered in the following locations for 2013-2014:
